Edmonton Ukrainian community joins the Ukrainian World Congress’ international
action marking the 85th anniversary of Holodomor.
For 85 days prior to the International Holodomor Memorial Day, held on Saturday, November 24th, 2018, Ukrainian communities around the world will participate in an international action, “Light a Candle in Remembrance!”.
Beginning September 1st, the first candle will be lit in a Ukrainian city and every day, in a different part of the world, a candle lighting ceremony will take place.
Light a Candle in Remembrance! will take place in Edmonton 7 PM on Friday, September 21st at
St. Josaphat Cathedral, 10825-97 St.
